If you haven’t seen it yet, click on the link in our profile to watch a clip of Kaley Cuoco ( @ケイリー・クオコ ) on @jimmykimmellive talking about a recent experience she had with TSA officers and wine openers (AKA corkscrews).

This may sound screwy for those of you who have traveled with corkscrews before. Corkscrews are allowed, right? Well, sort of… Look at the picture of the corkscrews we posted. The one on the left has no knife blade and is permitted in carry-on bags. The one on the right has a knife blade, and is not allowed in carry-on bags or on your person.

Don’t come uncorked... We know it’s a very small blade, but rules are rules. Knives – no matter how small – are not allowed in carry-on bags or on your person. A few years ago, we attempted to allow small knives in carry-on bags, but for reasons out of our control, it never came to fruition.

So to recap: Corkscrews with no blade ✅ Corkscrews with blade ? - If this still doesn’t make sense, just say “screw it” and toss it into your checked bag.
