Sue’s Story > Sue is our Binding Team Leader and has worked at Lavenham for 16 years.
Sue started out in the textiles industry training as a machinist at Lavenham. Sue is responsible for managing the binding machinists who use a sewing machine with a bespoke folder to attach the binding to the top of the pockets, cuffs, back vents, hem and fronts of our garments. Sue also tests any new binding before it goes into production ensuring the correct folder is used on the sewing machine and advises if any changes need to be made.
Sue is a highly skilled machinist with years of experience crafting Lavenham garments ✂️
