AND you get a deep appreciation for your body’s ability to produce warmth through movement. On today’s blog, Shawn Forry, Program Director for Outward Bound California, wrote about his winter hiking best practices today on our blog. One reason you should listen to him? In 2014/15 he and partner Justin Lichter became the first individuals to traverse the 2650mi Pacific Crest Trail during winter, a trip the New York Times dubbed "the most daring expedition since Lewis and Clark," and lending to an induction to the California Outdoors Hall of Fame.
