I've been shooting pictures in this incredible reserve for a forthcoming National Geographic Magazine story about enhanced anti-poaching operations. These efforts are far-reaching, of course, aiming to deter ivory poaching but also to interrupt the practice of bushmeat hunting, which remains a persistent problem in certain areas of the park. Before this assignment, I'd only visited the Mara as a tourist. It's incredible to see all that goes on behind the scenes.
