And more particularly with a brand that shares some of our core values, aesthetics and inspiration. @Nicopanda is the creation of the world renowned and award winning fashion director @nicolaformichetti . The Japanese-Italian creative launched the line in NYC, 2011, along with his brother Andrea. It fused as a true luxury/cult brand the world over, and built a die hard following reflective of that. The label, named after a nickname of his, drew together the distinct style and boldness he had garnered over years over various roles within the industry. From being the artistic/creative/fashion director of #Diesel, #Mugler, #Uniqlo, #dazedandconfused, or #VogueHommesJapan, he has suitably become known as one of the most influential creatives of our generation. You may also know him to be the genius behind the styling of @ladygaga or @brookecandy- two names that will eventually become the iconic representation of the fearless and idiosyncratic look of our time. Nicopanda is a true representation of his loves and endeavours to date. The unisex collection-which made the match even more harmonious- caught headlines by bringing the future kicking and screaming into the now. Offering a 60-min delivery service from the moment the garment hit the runway- the show was a perfect blend of the then, the now, the next and the unique. So of course, we were delighted to see our Jungle boot- also fearless and idiosyncratic- join Nicopanda on the runway. Jungle is one of the ranges from the Underground Soundwave collection. Inspired by the experimentation with the digital visualisation of sound. The sole of the Jungle is based on the oscillations of sound waves and this manipulation creates an oversize cleat and tread that is distinctively #Underground.
