I absolutely love Elaine Welteroth. Love and Live for her. I've been at dinner with her, just the two of us, sitting outside a cafe and talking fashion, politics, culture etc when girls and boys have come up to her, visibly emotional, when they see her and grateful for the work she has done so far at Teen Vogue. To witness that, to see the FUTURE so present and bright right in front of me, was not only inspiring but validating that fashion and politics are not mutually exclusive. I was gasping for air, till she came along. I know it sounds dramatic but I mean it. We all need an Elaine in our lives. Now to see this photo of her with my all time hero Gloria Steinem at our Spring 2018 show gives me so much joy. If I may, I just want to say, with utmost humility and gratitude, I am very proud that I am able to surround myself with women like them. They are one of the many reasons, but the most important one, why I keep on doing what I do. XPG
