Photo by @daviddoubilet A sand tiger shark explodes from a cloak of baitfish on the USCG Spar, a cutter sunk as an artificial reef off Morehead City, North Carolina. Dozens of sand tiger sharks patrol the wreck navigating through large schools of baitfish that often veil the wreck like a living cloud. This wreck and many others nearby are frequented by schools of sharks and are a great place to dive with, experience and learn about these wonderful creatures.
