"I wanted to capture the scale of the mountain as well as the countless twists and turns of the Mt Washington Auto Road. Shooting from the helicopter adds many variables itself, the intermittent puffy clouds were at times blocking the sun, and matching the speed of the 600 hp SRTUSA Hillclimb cars from the air is challenging to say the least. The entire run is under 6 minutes and the optimal car-helicopter vantage points last in total less than a minute over the upper half of the mountain. Have an idea of what you want, shoot like crazy with multiple lenses and bodies and see what you come away with is pretty much how it goes. At first I was disappointed the shadow was across the mountain, however, I really like how it highlights the twisty road to the summit which is what I wanted!" - Lars Gange / SRTUSA Photographer
