Photo by @michaelmelford - First one of the cubs came to the edge of the ice to view our ship, then the other and finally the mother. The best gift I received in the high Arctic this year. The takeaway after 10 years of coming north is that the ice is getting thinner and everyone and everything has to adapt. Not sure if or when I will return, but my heart goes out to the people and animals of the north. #arctic #polarbear #ice #climatechange #photography @natgeoexpeditions
