Between 1998 and 2004, Martin Margiela designed a dozen collections for @エルメス. His pieces were personal in the sense that much attention was put into the quality of materials and how they felt on the skin. They were well-thought-out, dependable, and reactive, as they were often designed to be worn in more than one way. Considering all this, his Hermès collections flew a bit under the radar.
