By January 1889, #VincentvanGogh had returned to the #sunflowers motif, and he painted an additional three versions (now in Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Philadelphia). Two of these (Amsterdam and Philadelphia) were intended to hang on either side of a portrait of his friend Augustine Roulin.
