Animal behaviorist + conservationist @Kevin Richardson LionWhisperer spoke on the matter for #WorldLionDay: "Can you even imagine a world without this iconic creature? Have you ever wondered why it is the lion that has been used as the symbol of royalty and power throughout the ages of mankind? In every major city I've been to on my travels, there has always been a statue of a lion somewhere in the city center, seemingly playing a protective role. Humans have long recognized the importance of this magical creature but sadly modern man is on a mission to see their demise. Let's not let that happen under our watch. We have the ability and voice to make a change. Let's do our bit and spread the message about the plight of lions in captivity and the wild."
