Today’s #RoleModelMonday, Olivia Rusk (@0r1zzl3), is totally bald due to a medical condition called alopecia. She has been bald since the age of 2, and at only 8 years old, Olivia decided shed the wig she was wearing because she felt she was "hiding who she was.” Rather than being embarrassed by her condition, she embraced it and started conversations to help spread awareness. Her bravery and willingness to put herself at risk of bullying should be an inspirational lesson to all. Olivia went on to write a book called “Just Your Average Teenager Who Happens To Be Bald,” telling her story. She is now 19 and in college, continuing to help people! Thank you for being someone we can all look up to!
