Tomorrow night ✨ we're having an opening reception for Sag Harbor artist @berrilynnhuberty's site-specific installation at our newly-reopened MATTA, Sag Harbor!
From 6:00 to 8:00 pm✨
MATTA was one of several shops and apartments on Main Street that was damaged or destroyed in a fire this past December.
The Sag Harbor Cinema was also destroyed.
Huberty was allowed access to our shop after the fire, and she removed dresses, scarves and other items that were smoke damaged and singed, soaking and reusing the silks and wools in the art she created for this installation.
A portion of the art work sales will go to the Sag Harbor Partnership, which seeks to raise needed funds to buy and rebuild the Sag Harbor Cinema✨
