Meet little Abby. ?? she has no paws. ?????
She was declawed at an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in California. Her owners were talked OUT of using the humane alternatives by the vets at the AAHA hospital. They said declawing is a standard procedure and their cats would be fine. ???
Abby's brother and sister were also declawed and due to complications from the declaws, they all had to have their paws or part of their paws amputated. Their lives are forever ruined and they have had to endure the most unimaginable pain and suffering and are still having a hard time walking on what is left of their paws.
Today is AAHA day.
PLEASE help me remind AAHA on their special day on how they COULD help us end declawing if they wanted to. Most AAHA hospitals declaw cats.????
Let's all post photos of declawed cats like poor Abby, with the hashtag #AahaDay and #AAHA and remind them that declawing is below the standard of vet care and they should NOT ALLOW this inhumane and harmful procedure at their AAHA hospitals!

Oh and by the way, AAHA's declawing position statement says they are "strongly opposed" to declawing. #bs #hypocrite
