July 15,1997..... 20 yrs have passed and it seems like yesterday when I came to Via Gesu,12 for my interview with you in June 96'. I had always dreamt as a teenager to work for you, but never imagined that it would happen. I remember so vividly when I was offered the job, I often compare it to being a struggling artist.and PICASSO saying, come work for me. " Seriously "PINCH"yourself moments in life. There,thanks to you I began my journey in Fashion and to this day it was the best school ever and I never take it for granted. Working alongside you and Donatella was magic! At times chaotic, but magic non the less ( it is Fashion and we ❤️ drama!) I remember being so excited that I would arrive early to the office just to be surrounded by the air of you and the brand,and u would come up from your apt( in a bright colored cashmere sweater) and see me there and tell me I am here to learn and to take it all in... Brianino( as u called me). You have taught me to " Never compromise my integrity " as a Designer and for that I have endless gratitude.

Thank you for the legacy that you have left us and the countless iconic images and icons that you have created. We are forever mesmerized by the trance of The Medusa and you will forever be that butterfly fluttering around backstage right before the show. ?
