My human just saw on her personal Facebook "on this day" section that it was exactly 8 years ago today that they brought Halo home. ??
They weren't involved in rescue yet so Halo is their only pet that is not a rescue. Now, the only breed they'll get is adopted!
Here's a quick update on Halo (for those who don't know, she has had to have both her eyes removed due to primary glaucoma within a 9 month period).
She got her sutures out last week and is adjusting very well to being blind. She seems happier and more energetic than the weeks leading up to the inevitable surgery. It progresses very fast even though mama was giving her pressure drops.
She finds her food & water easily and has almost mastered the front and back steps to go outside. Sometimes she runs into me, Roo, & Ginger but we try to get out of her way. The humans don't realize it but we knew something was wrong before they did and figured out that Halo can't see anymore since she came home from the vet.
So everyone is doing great and mama says thank you guys for all the love and support you showed for Halo.
