Hi everyone. Sorry for being mia... As you can see, all is not well with Homer... And with Nug!?
First, last week, Homer allopecia came back around ten days ago, probably due to "kitten stress". Then one day last week he started throwing up blood and kinda choking so i had to take him to the vet and they shaved him. Like entirely, even his tail, except the very end of his paws and his head!?
Of course he wasn't happy and confused and he started cutting himself on the furnitures so i had to "babyproof" everything in order for him not to hurt himself. But even with that he found a way to cut his tail open at the top! I called the vet who told me to clean it and watch him. Which i did... Except when i got out to buy some groceries for like half an hour. And when i came back home i found blood everywhere, seriously everywhere: floor, furnitures, even the walls! And then i found him with his tail all bloody and bad!!! So i fainted (me and blood are not friends!) and when i woke up i took him to the vet ER... Turns out he had ate his tail!!!???
The vet there cleaned it and put a bandage on it, gave me some medicine for him, put a cone on him so he stop being a catnnibal and told me to take him back every two days for a new bandage Two days later (tuesday) i took him to his vet and she wasn't happy because the ER vet didn't gave him pain meds and had made such a tight bandage that it was very hard to take off and nearly took even more skin on his tail! ?
So now i have to take him again this afternoon to change the bandage If his tail is still bleeding, they might consider surgery/cutting it so i really hope it will look better. Then it will took at least a couple weeks to heal totally, with meds and vet every two/three days for the bandage And cherry on top, i've found a flea on him! I mean, he has three hair left on him but still? What the fluff, seriously?!? Since he has meds for his tail he couldn't have a regular Frontline type treatment so he had to take a special pill for this! (The rest of the story is on the comment just below⬇)
