Phones are for communicating, not for games.
Just had the phone discussion with my 11yo who INSISTED that every single person in his grade have their own smart phone. To which I replied, "Have we met? In the history of our relationship have I ever been swayed by the reason that 'everyone else has/does it'? In fact, have you not noticed that this argument makes me want to do the opposite?" He is not deterred and has since asked to play on my phone 643 times.
