These animals can be found in Madagascar and weigh just 7 ounces. They lead solitary lives and feed mainly on insects. Tenrecs spend most of the day resting in a curled position inside hollow logs or trees. When the weather is exceptionally hot, they can be found sleeping with their bodies completely stretched out.
