The education system is stupid. By the age of 7, a kid knows what he/she wants to do, so by the age of 12, that kid should finish the University if his/her brain is not filled with things that he/she will never use. If the kid wants to be an Engineer or something similar, then teach him/her Algebra, but if the kid wants to be a Historian, don't waste his/her time with stuff like this, just teach him the basis of every subject and that's it. Oh, and when they did my IQ test, it turned out that I have an inclination to Physics and Math. And for those that will say that Math is the Foundation of the Universe, I've heard once or twice about the Fibonacci Sequencer. And if you don't believe me that the Education system is stupid, just look at your surroundings: Why so many idiots out there?
