Leaves, paper and hats are sent flying by a strong gust of wind in this print by Japanese artist #Hokusai. It’s part of his print series ‘Thirty-Six Views of Mt Fuji’ produced in the early 1830s – here we see Fuji from the south-west. The view was taken from Ejiri, a place on the Tōkaidō highway that linked Kyoto and Edo (modern-day Tokyo). See this and more works by Hokusai in our new exhibition – now open!
