I ran across this photo this morning and had to post it. So many good memories, junky camera gear and back when I had a lot of time on my hands. I shot this in 1997, it's my friend @mtpoolz (Wrex) blasting on lumpy and awkward concrete at an unfinished skatepark in Colorado Springs. Wrex is one of those guys that can skate anything and make any session fun. At the time, all of my photo gear was from pawnshops; strobes that were taped together, scratched lenses, rickety tripod, scraping money together to get AA batteries for flashes and a roll of film developed- none of it mattered, just the joy of going skating with the bros or camping in the mountains of Colorado. I'm grateful for all of the memories and great people I've met over the years. Oddly not much has changed. Ok, my camera gear setup is certainly better but the love of just taking photos, being outside with good people and filling everyday with laughter and adventure is the same as it ever was. #Thankful ?? #velvia
