The Princess Royal, Patron of the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS) Benevolent Trust, attends their annual general meeting at Fleet Air Arm Museum. During the meeting HRH gave a speech in support of the Trust's work, which supports anyone who served in the WRNS, amounting to 143,000 women. Following the AGM The Princess met a number of WRNS members and guests during a reception where she received a Posy from Medical Assistant Helen Elder, a serving representative based at RNAS Yeovilton.

The WRNS Benevolent Trust was founded in 1942 to help in cases of hardship among the thousands of women who served in the Women's Royal Naval Service.
