this earth may be hurting, her creatures, afraid. this society may be imploding, oppression stalking its prey. and just when my eyes feel they can take in no more, i sit down beside you, and you remind me what to fight for. why we are here. what we can do. pachamama needs us now, so where are you? are you hiding in the cells, of your throats closed caucus? or waving a flag amongst the throngs of the righteous? are you waiting for tomorrow, because today isn't the day? or, are you standing up right now, because tomorrow may be too late? are you honoring your truth, giving your worth your highest praise? or are you falling victim to distraction, a nasty trick suppressions plays. these things that divide us: fear. ego. pride. they are the tools we must learn, no time for compromise. we must learn to transmute their charge, fear: reason. ego: lesson. pride: message. use them as means to ask questions and learn, gaining perspective and guidance, we must remain alert. take your wisdom and humility with the education at hand, share it with the world, dismantling destruction strand by strand. the reason we hurt, the reason we die, humanity has yet to figure out, how to speak to ask why. to demand narratives of all expressions, have equal seats in earths court, we must begin to grow silent, and realize their worth, so we may piece together the rhythms we all hear in the womb. before we had decided what was right and what was wrong. before we had decided what was me and what was you. before we had developed, our gently pulsing brains, judgment, assumption, apathy were impossible to name. they did not exist until, we allowed ourselves to stray so far from truths story, that we became the afraid. afraid no more, we rise to unite. to unite we must inquire, dissect the whys. be the digger whose nails are crusty with dirt. it will mean you'll have dug to the roots of the hurt. you'll have gone to the depths that we have yet to discover to humanize the pain we must intentionally uncover. and you'll have returned to the surface, this tree growing strong, with a new siren in your heart, humanity will say THX. i was listened to, and HEARD.

this earth may be hurting,
her creatures, afraid.
this society may be imploding,
oppression stalking its prey.
and just when my eyes feel they can take in no more,
i sit down beside you,
and you remind me what to fight for.
why we are here.
what we can do.
pachamama needs us now,
so where are you?
are you hiding in the cells,
of your throats closed caucus?
or waving a flag amongst the throngs of the righteous?
are you waiting for tomorrow,
because today isn't the day?
or, are you standing up right now,
because tomorrow may be too late?
are you honoring your truth,
giving your worth your highest praise?
or are you falling victim to distraction,
a nasty trick suppressions plays.
these things that divide us:
fear.
ego.
pride.
they are the tools we must learn, no time for compromise.
we must learn to transmute their charge,
fear: reason.
ego: lesson.
pride: message.
use them as means to ask questions and learn,
gaining perspective and guidance, we must remain alert.
take your wisdom and humility with the education at hand,
share it with the world,
dismantling destruction strand by strand.
the reason we hurt, the reason we die,
humanity has yet to figure out,
how to speak to ask why.
to demand narratives of all expressions,
have equal seats in earths court,
we must begin to grow silent, and realize their worth,
so we may piece together the rhythms we all hear in the womb.
before
we had decided what was right
and what was wrong.
before
we had decided what was me
and what was you.
before
we had developed, our gently pulsing brains,
judgment, assumption, apathy
were impossible to name.
they did not exist until,
we allowed ourselves to stray
so far from truths story,
that we became the afraid.
afraid no more, we rise to unite.
to unite we must inquire, dissect the whys.
be the digger whose nails are crusty with dirt.
it will mean you'll have dug to the roots of the hurt.
you'll have gone to the depths that we have yet to discover
to humanize the pain we must intentionally uncover.
and you'll have returned to the surface, this tree growing strong,
with a new siren in your heart,
humanity will say THX. i was listened to, and HEARD.
