The David is a marble sculpture created between 1501 and 1504 by Michelangelo Buonarroti. It represents the Biblical hero David and is considered a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture and has become one of the most recognizable icons of the history of art as well as the incarnation of Michelangelo’s #genius.
