18 years ago today, @usatoday journalist #jenniferschwalbach married my fat ass at #skywalkerranch while we were sound mixing my fourth film, #Dogma. It still stands as one of the best decisions I ever made in my dopey life. As you can see, Jen was very pregnant with @harleyquinnsmith_ (and I was pretty pregnant with sugary foods). @samosier was there as my Best Man on that fine Sunday morning and a Dutch Catholic Monk Jen had found online presided over the nuptials. After the ceremony, we all went out to @ihop for a pancake wedding banquet. It's been 18 years of love, lust, bickering and battles over shit that ultimately meant very little in the grand scheme of things. Getting married is a romantic fantasy come true but staying married is a daily reality a couple has to work at if they want to last. Thank you, Jenny, for making my reality pretty fantastic and my fantasies pretty real. I know I haven't been the perfect husband (unless perfectly round counts) so thanks for sticking with me these 18 years! You married me while I was wearing a hoodie and a @jayandsilentbob t-shirt and named our daughter #harleyquinn, so I'll never be able to thank you enough for being so fucking cool.
