April 15-23 is #NationalParkWeek – created by @nationalparkservice and our conservation partners @goparks to celebrate America's National Parks. We're highlighting a different national park every day through April 23.
We end our journey on the tallest dunes in North America, at Colorado's @greatsanddunesnps. Formed from sand and soil deposited by the Rio Grande, these massive sand dunes rise up to 750 feet from the floor of the San Luis Valley. There are many ways to experience the dunes, including sand sledding and sandboarding – sliding down the giant dunes like ski trails.
Celebrate National Park Week by visiting a park near you – admission is FREE this weekend, April 22-23.
