Today The Prince of Wales, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, will attend commemorations on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen to mark 100 years since the Battle of Vimy Ridge. The battle took place on 9th April 1917 as four Canadian divisions fought together as a unified fighting force for the first time.

At Vimy Ridge, Their Royal Highnesses will walk through some of the tunnels and trenches used by Allied soldiers during the First World War.
The tunnels were an intricate network of communication and allowed them to advance to the front quickly and without being seen. #Vimy100
