In occasione del primo centenario del @britishinstituteflorence il cortile di Palazzo Strozzi ospita fino al 25 aprile il "Warrior with Shield" di Henry Moore proveniente da @santacroceopera
Questo guerriero di ispirazione eroica e mitologica è una delle sculture più famose di Moore. Simbolo della fierezza della dignità umana, drammaticamente mutilato, è privo di un braccio e di una gamba; si difende col solo scudo alzato e con la gamba destra senza piede si aggrappa alla base, per resistere.

Palazzo Strozzi is delighted to mark the first centenary of the @britishinstituteflorence by hosting, until 25 April, the "Warrior with Shield" by Henry Moore, from the @santacroceopera
This warrior, of heroic and mythological inspiration, is one of Moore’s most celebrated sculptures. A symbol of the pride of human dignity, tragically mutilated, he lacks an arm and a leg. Defending himself with his shield alone, in his determination to hold out he clings to the base with his right leg, shorn of its foot.
