A ruler is to measure the size of things, and also can be formed and used as the word 「尺度」(scale), which means “limit". The shape of Chinese word “尺” is similar with the English letters "R" . Weeigrlsclub's latest collection use the Chinese word “尺”and letter "R” as the theme, and designer Ruby Gloom concluded that the cyber world nowadays are mostly described as the three elements: Rootless,Ruleless and Ruthless. She used her 3D art skills to create three major graphics, showing her complaint against the internet world. "Rootless" pointed out that the information circulated in the Internet are rootless which we can not find out the origin of news. But no matter if the information is right or wrong, human beings still believe in them blindly. "Ruleless" means that the cyber world has no rules, everyone can create a false identity on the network, even when some information is only suitable for adults, we can still just click the “ yes” button to get access with everything. This gradually affects the mental development of children nowadays. Rootless + Ruleless = Ruthless: the world has become brutal and ruthless because of the unfounded and random rules online. People has begun to take advantage of the freedom and to harm others. For examples, the existence of hackers, cyber bullying is getting serious which leads to high rates in suicides ... ... 「尺」Collection combined a complex pattern printed on simple clothing, complaining the public about the world we are living now is "Rootless, Ruthless, Ruleless" , and reminding us to make good use of the advanced technology to create beautiful things for the world rather than hurting each other. ?
