True story. When I was in high school my Mom and stepdad moved us to another town south of where I grew up. Even though I was wearing an eye patch, another story, I was able to fit in at first. Then a popular kid decided he didn't like me for some reason so he got the small school to turn on me. One day I came to school and one of his buddies made his own custom "I HATE JASON STURGILL" shirt. After school that day I was waiting for the bus and kids threw rocks at me. Not many people knew that story before today, but I think it's going to be one of the many stories about Serendipity I'm planning to talk about at an upcoming @portland_cm in May. Most people think of Serendipity as good things, but I'm going to talk about the effect unexpected events had on my life...good and bad.
