In their quest to transform traditions into a refined beauty for the modern age, the “TASAKI por RELIQUIAE” designers have become frequent visitors to the Universidad Laboral de Gijón (designed by architect Luis Moya Blanco, 1955), the university situated in the northern Spanish coastal city of Gijón which “TASAKI por RELIQUIAE” calls home. The architectural style of what is Spain’s largest private-sector (really it´s the largest civil, not military building, but it´s a public building) building is something of a compilation of classic buildings, including references to such ancient structures as the Market Gate of Miletus and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. For the “TASAKI por RELIQUIAE” designers with their love of traditions, architecture and the arts, these buildings are just wonderful: with their widespread use of curves and parabola, they have influenced the design of “Archy” to suit the lifestyle of the modern-day, sophisticated lady.
