This March, #WomensHistoryMonth, we’re celebrating the women who broke boundaries in the outdoor world.

Fay Fuller was the first known woman to summit Mount Rainier on August 10, 1890, at just 20 years old. She went on to co-found mountaineering clubs in the Pacific Northwest, including the Washington Alpine Club, Tacoma Alpine Club and Portland-based Mazamas.
