Video by @renan_ozturk // Northern Lights a few days ago as seen through the ancient ice blocks at the terminus Europe's largest glacier, the Vatnajökull. This shot really shows how the lights often come in 'pulses' as solar winds carry particles of sunspot activity toward the earth which collide with our atmosphere. The strongest and most colorful events I've seen have lasted less than 30 seconds and the my camera is either never ready fast enough or it has overexposed the time-lapse. Although I'll keep trying a big part of me loves that the big ones continue to get away, only to be experienced by the eyes. #northernlights #auoraborealis
