2月22日のグッチの秋冬ランウェイ・ショウ。今回、はじめてメンズとウィメンズの合同ショウになった。テーマは「錬金術師の庭」。ガラクタから金を生み出す錬金術のように、ありふれたものをファッションに昇華するというのがひとつの意味。もうひとつの意味は近代の科学的合理主義が排除してきた合理的ならざるもののシンボルに錬金術を見立て、近代的な禁欲的美意識によって抑圧されてきたプレ・モダンな色彩やモチーフを呼び戻しているのだよ、という意味。どこかなつかしい、どこか古びた、そして合理的な近代によって打ち棄てられてきた服やアクセサリーが嬉しげに回帰して躍った。（GQ編集長・鈴木正文）
This is Suzuki, and the video shows a total of 119 looks, i.e. all the looks, which were shown for Gucci’s FW2017 runway collection for women and men on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The video was taken by me from the front row. The theme of the collection is -- “The Alchemist’s Garden,” where signs, symbols, and archetypes invoking and recalling remote worlds inhabit. It was also subtitled as “An Anti-Modern Laboratory,” whereby the repressed aesthetics under the modernism movement staged joyful returns. Congrats! Masafumi Suzuki
