"Tuesday morning Gus greeted me at about 5:00 am by vomiting up a hairball. I knew he wasn't feeling well after that, he simply was not himself, very quiet and still, and he was not hungry. I checked him at lunch and it was more of the same. I took him to his regular vet, who was alarmed at his heart rate (350 BPM). She tested his blood and examined him and recommended he see a cardiologist immediately.

Gus is at UC Davis, one of the best veterinary hospitals in the world. If anyone can make sure he comes home to me, they can. They are currently trying to get his heart to beat at a normal rate. We don't know what is causing this extreme tachycardia, but at this point the main thing is to get it under control, and then we will go from there. As you can imagine, this is not cheap. The estimate just to stabilize him could go up to $3300. I will do anything to have him back with me. If you can help, I will be forever grateful and in your debt.."
