"...Ultimately I’m very proud to be multicultural and to be able to draw from different parts of my life. It’s incredibly enriching. Race obviously is a hot topic right now, with Brexit and the election and the rejection of globalization. In the last two years or so, I’ve become more aware of the political climate and my role as a designer. A lot of what I’ve been drawing is much more armored, and I think that’s also what I’m craving for myself. But I think that is what other people are feeling as well.
