Iconic Moment at this year’s Berlinale: The film ISTIYAD ASHBAH (Ghost Hunting)“ by Raed Andoni won the first-ever Glashütte Original Documentary Award. The prize worth 50,000 Euros, built in our manufactory, was presented during the official Award Ceremony on Saturday night. The three international jurors Laura Poitras, Daniela Michel and Samir honoured the winning film, chosen from 16 nominees, in their laudation and pointed out that “Documentaries build bridges between different cultures”! We are proud and happy to be donor of a prize that pays tribute to such an important genre.
