When I buy something that I love and know I will be wearing them for a long time, I go for a good maintenance care. For these boots, I'm going to get a thin layer sole and a rain resistant coating done at my usual trustable place. Will show in my stories later. I think this maintenance care is coming from Japanese culture. Like the taxis in Tokyo for example. All of them have a white lace cover on the seat. That's also for long maintenance and cleanliness.
