My little story with this super star... . We are the same age, have a common Chinese character in the name <朗> ("Lang" in CN, "Ro" in JP), gave a NY debut recital in the same month of 2003 (he played in Carnegie Hall, I played in Lincoln Center), gave a Chile debut in the same Teatro Municipal de Santiago only 4 days difference in 2013 (photos - I was asked in the hotel, restaurant, etc. three times if I was him!), collaborated with Stéphane Lambiel on Rachmaninoff's Prelude, and apparently we both like the concept of "con fuoco". . And finally we met each other early December in a Japanese TV station, because we were invited to the same TV program (but not for the same day)...what a series of coincidence! ? . . ラン・ランさんと。 13歳の時、仙台で行われたJr.チャイコフスキー国際コンクールで優勝され、そのドキュメンタリー番組をテレビで拝見し、初めて彼の存在を知りましたが、その卓越されたテクニックと音楽性に度肝を抜かれたのを鮮明に覚えています。同い年というだけでなく、名前に「朗」という私と同じ字があったり、勝手ながら親近感を覚えていたのですが・・・。 NYデビューリサイタル（彼はカーネギーホール、私はリンカーンセンター）が同じ2003年の11月だったり、南米デビューも同じチリのサンチアゴ市立劇場で同じ2013年5月（写真）。しかもたった4日違いで、私はホテルやレストランで三回も「貴方はピアニストですか？」と声をかけられ、「はい」と答えると、「おぉ、ラン・ランですか！？」と言われたりしました（笑）。ステファン・ランビエールさんとラフマニノフでコラボしたという共通項もあり、昨秋取り上げたテーマ『コン・フォーコ（火を持って）』も、彼の好きなテーマだったと後から知りました。そして、ついにお会いする機会があったのですが、それも『題名のない音楽会』の収録が前後になったという偶然から...不思議なご縁ですね✨? #langlang #郎朗 #ランラン
