Each year at @cooperhewitt, we honor the best in American design with the National Design Awards, recognizing innovation and enhancement of quality of life, and the power of design in multiple disciplines.
Earlier this week, I was in San Francisco to celebrate our West Coast winners and to engage the design community there with a dinner and panel discussion, cohosted with Design Within Reach and Facebook. Thank you to our 2016 winners who joined us for a lively conversation, touching on everything from design’s role in evoking joy and problem-solving to inspiring the next generation of designers and leaders!
