Take 2. - Gino's passing hit me like a slow bullet and I got more and more emotional as the evening went. Since he was so bigger-than-life, and I met him in my early days of getting to New York and getting to America as a matter of fact (and my English must had been very slow, and as everyone knows, his English has always been very very fast), he was turning into something almost mythical or even a fantastical concept in my head. And as the evening went on, it started to really dawn on me that Gino as a person had just died. And his friends put together an amazing evening - exactly type of evening that I would had run into him and exactly type of the evening that he should had been at. And he was missing from it. So long, and thanks for all the evenings, Gino. Rest in peace.
