Serious watch guys tend to pride themselves on hating quartz but the Grand Seiko 9F has about as much to do with a normal quartz watch as a marine chronometer does with a Mickey Mouse watch. Not only is 9F accurate to within just a few seconds per year, it hosts a slew of other advances, including a sealed movement compartment to prevent dust entry during a battery change, a date wheel that switches so fast that you literally can't see it (1/2000 second) and a tiny spiral hairspring mounted to the seconds hand to prevent backlash as it advances.
