Mazzy walked into my room (she should have been in bed) just as Obama started talking about Michelle. I let her snuggle with me as Michelle and Malia wrinkled their noses adorably at each other. I hope the Obamas continue to influence Mazzy and Harlow's generation after they leave the White House. I hope they are not really leaving us, but loudly and actively fighting for what's good and decent right alongside us. I liked what Obama said about replacing ObamaCare. I've been so sickened by the possibility of Trump changing bits of it and then renaming it TrumpCare. Obama said that he doesn't care what it's called as long as it helps people; that's what service is all about. He is a better person than me. That's what I expect from a president. Their time in the White House might be over, but they are still my role models. As leaders, as human beings and as parents. I will continue to look to the two of them for grace and guidance.
