The 265 animals in Yemen’s Taiz zoo, including rare leopards, haven’t been fed for days. The government is rejecting proposals to save them. A lion wastes away, abscesses ravaging his body. The United Arab Emirates and Jordan have offered to rescue the zoo’s animals, but the Yemeni government refuses to allow their evacuation.
