These days, #doubledutch isn’t as popular as it once was in New York City and across the United States. But its appeal has surged beyond the country’s borders. In addition to teams from Queens, Brooklyn, Connecticut and South Carolina, competitors from France and Japan took part in the Double Dutch Holiday Classic, an annual tournament at the @apollotheater in #Harlem. The Classic, which bills itself as the Super Bowl of double dutch, celebrated its 25th anniversary on Sunday. @cgregoryphoto captured the action during the second round of the fusion competition.
