Last spring Tropical Storm Bonnie unleashed nearly 14 inches of rain in 4 days on #CapeHatterasNationalSeashore, flooding much of the island. It was roughly a quarter of the parks annual rain fall in less than a week, leaving behind heavy destruction. Filaments of algae are seen here growing on blades of grass in an area that is normally a dry field.
