Did it. Voted. And, as always, I feel a sense of pride and gratitude, exercising my right to participate in this way. This year I felt something beyond pride and gratitude - I felt a little overwhelmed as I marked my ballot and thought of all the strong women in my life, starting with my mother and my sister... all my female friends, coaches, directors... all my TEACHERS. I don't even know for sure who all these women throughout my life voted for in this election but when I voted, I thought of all of them.
