Happy 44th birthday to Tiffeny Milbrett! The forward won an Olympic gold medal in 1996, scoring the game-winning goal in the final against China PR. Milbrett played a key role in the development of women’s football in the United States, participating in three consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments. The prolific goalscorer twice finished third, in 1995 and 2003, but did hoist the prestigious trophy on home soil in 1999.
